On March 19, 2026, I presented "Mining Your Base: Using AI to Sell One More" on Resideo's Shop Talk webinar series. This was the HVAC adaptation of a framework I originally delivered to security dealers on Resideo's Coffee & Conversation series in January 2026. Resideo invited me back specifically to bring the same framework to their HVAC contractor network.

Audience: Resideo Premier Pro Partner HVAC contractors, including owner-operators, service managers, and sales managers from regional and local HVAC companies
Format: 40-minute presentation with live audience polls, annotated screenshot walkthroughs, and Q&A
Topic: Three AI-powered strategies contractors can implement within 30 days to capture more revenue from their existing customer base
The presentation walked contractors through three strategies built around tools and data they already have, including their CRM, their service call notes, and their customer history:
Call Analysis: Using AI to identify upsell triggers from service call data that techs miss in the field
Personalized Follow-Up: Turning generic service notes and unsold estimates into targeted, AI-written outreach
Predictive Customer Mapping: Scoring existing customers to identify who's ready for a system replacement or maintenance agreement
Each strategy included copy-paste AI prompts, annotated screenshots showing real inputs and outputs, and a phased implementation roadmap. The presentation also featured an HVAC-specific 12-month seasonal campaign calendar and a simple scoring model contractors could build in a spreadsheet.
The session was education-first. No product pitch, no sales deck. Resideo product tie-ins (Honeywell Home thermostats, Pro-IQ services, IAQ products) were woven in contextually, where they naturally fit within the strategies.
The Resideo host began sharing his own experience with the unsold estimate problem mid-presentation, an unscripted moment that validated the content for the room. By the end of the session, three regional event invitations (Scottsdale, Dallas, and Providence) came directly from the host, follow-up sessions were requested for 60–90 days out, and a potential speaking slot at Resideo Connect, their flagship annual conference in November 2026, entered the conversation.
This was the second Resideo engagement in the series, following the security dealer version delivered in January 2026.
